IASCA Holds its Annual Meeting Virtually

 AMMAN – The International Arab Society for Certified Accountants (IASCA) digitally held its annual meeting chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of IASCA Board of Directors.


During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that IASCA always seeks to adapt to recent developments, indicating that it has been previously announced that the Society is ready to digitally transform its services and activities. He also pointed out that IASCA provides its services to all professionals through its own E-Systems, such as the electronic exam system, the digital training platform, and the set of publications and professional digital syllabus developed by the Society.

Moreover, the participants reviewed and approved the balance sheet and the estimated budget, and a vote was taken to assign the auditor for the financial year ending on 31/12/2023.

Members of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly from different countries, including the UK, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Iraq, Qatar, Yemen, Bahrain, and Sudan, in addition to Jordan participated in the voting process.


The annual report of 2023 was reviewed along with the services and activities, which were provided during the year, as well as the cooperation agreements concluded with a large group of government bodies, universities, and training institutions in various Arab countries, in addition to the conferences, seminars, workshops, and job fairs IASCA participated in. Moreover, IASCA’s ongoing activities were also reviewed.  

It is noteworthy that IASCA aims at enhancing the accountancy and auditing sciences, and other relevant subject matters on the international level, in addition to maintaining the financial independence of accountants and guaranteeing their protection, and the adoption of the professional supervision criteria on them in order to enhance the accountancy and auditing professions.
