Cooperation agreement between IASCA and PACPA Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh Affirms Deep-Rooted Relations with the Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accounting

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants (IASCA) has signed an agreement with the President of the Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accounting (PACPA), Mr. Akram Hassouneh, to cooperate in the field of training, capacity building and the provision of specialized professional certification.

At the beginning of the two sides’ meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed PACPA representatives, affirming the depth of relations that tie him with the Associations for many years, commending the role of PACPA Board in achieving a quantum leap in all its activities. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reaffirmed pride in being the honorary president of the Association.

Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed IASCA’s readiness to offer its services and expertise to support the Association and help its members to realize their goals and objectives.

Meanwhile, Mr. Hassouneh highly praised the efforts and support of IASCA, chaired by Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, in advancing the accounting profession, pointing to the integration relation between IASCA and PACPA.

For his part, Mr. Salem Al-Ouri, IASCA executive director, gave a brief about the Society’s activities, achievements and mechanisms for enhancing cooperation channels between the two sides.

Accordingly, based on the signed agreement, the two parties agreed to utilize the technical resources and vast expertise of IASCA in qualifying and building national capacities of Palestinian accountants and auditors to help establish a comprehensive development process in Palestine.

Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accounting

The Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accounting (PACPA), was established in 1995. Its role was further enhanced by the 2004 Law on Practicing the Auditing Profession No. 9. It serves as the encompassing national organization for all Palestinian auditors, with the aim of developing the auditing profession in Palestine, ensuring alignment with economic and global demands.
