ASCA (Jordan) Holds “International Sustainability Standards” Training Course

AMMAN - The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA - Jordan) held a training course titled the “International Sustainability Standards”. The course focused on various topics, including:
- Understanding the concept of sustainability and its role in modern accounting practices.
- Identifying the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) related to sustainability reporting and understanding how to integrate them into financial reports.
- Explaining the concept of green accounting, its objectives, and the relationship between environmental factors and financial performance.
- Applying green accounting tools and frameworks to measure and report environmental impacts.
- Providing guidance and advice to companies on how to enhance their sustainability reporting and accounting performance.
ASCA affirmed that this course is part of its ongoing efforts to advance the transition toward sustainability, in light of the growing global focus on its economic, environmental, and social dimensions. ASCA further highlighted that sustainability accounting seeks to assess sustainable performance and deliver reliable, decision-useful financial and non-financial information to investors and the broader community.
At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded attendance certificates in recognition of their efforts and active participation throughout the course.
