Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh: Establishing the Association is an initiative that emphasizes the importance of professionalism and internal audit
Amman, September 2015. HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh patronized the ceremony of launching the Jordanian Association of Internal Auditors, and he seminar of the latest updates on the international professional framework for practicing internal auditing with the attendance of HE Dr. Mustafa Al-Brari, Head of the Audit Bureau of Jordan, Hisham Al-Shawa, President of the Association’s Constituent Assembly, in addition to the attendance of a group of stakeholders, accountants, auditors and members of the Association. The event took place in the premises of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum.

HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that the establishment of the Association was an initiative that emphasized the importance of the profession and internal audit, pointing out to the interconnection between internal and external audit, and that coordination with the Association through a memorandum of understanding in the future would be necessary in order to collaborate through our international practice and accounting activity.

HE Dr. Mustafa Al-Brari, Head of the Audit Bureau, expressed his gratitude to HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for his continuous support for this profession and its professionals at the local, Arab and International levels through his Organization that served the local, Arab and international economy. He also stressed that the establishment of the Association had become an urgent need due to its critical role and deep impact on the economy as it represents the first line of defense in preserving public funds and corporations’ assets, decisions, governance and progress in the right direction.

On the other hand, Hisham Al-Shawa, President of the Assembly, revealed that the idea of establishing the Association as a professional organization to represent the profession of internal audit and to work on promoting it started as an initiative by a group of young professionals who were aware of its importance, and by believers in its mission.

It is worthwhile mentioning that HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and HE Dr. Mustafa Al-Brari submitted the first and second applications to join the Association.
