Announcement

23-Apr-2005

The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) and the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) are delighted to announce the commencement of the first CIE-validated Arab Certified Professional Accountant (ACPA) examinations.

The examinations, scheduled for the period November 22 – 25, 2004, will take place at ASCA’s 28 examination sites throughout the Arab world, as previously announced.

Over the course of the assessment, representatives of CIE provide a number of quality assurance measures, including an inspection of the 2004 examination itself. ASCA expects that CIE will approve the accreditation of the Arab Certified Professional Accountant Certificate in November 2004.

This new credential will entitle those who receive it to be awarded the designation Arab Certified Professional Accountant (ACPA), validated by both CIE and ASCA.

The new CIE-validated ACPA designation is expected to achieve global recognition; CIE is the world’s leading provider of international qualifications and assessments. The ACPA certificate has been developed based on ASCA’s previously existing designation.

The new certificate will be signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cambridge and the Chairman of ASCA and will bear the logo of both ASCA and CIE.
