Abu-Ghazaleh Presides Over ASCA/Jordan Board of Directors Meeting

Arab Society of Certified Accountants/Jordan (ASCA/Jordan) held its Board of Director meeting at the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School for Business Administration headquarters.
The meeting, headed by ASCA's Chairman Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, was attended by Mr. Mahmoud Sa’adeh, senior deputy chairman and a host of ASCA members, representing the quorum.
The meeting tackled various topics including the formation of sub-committees of the general assembly to follow up the assembly’s activities, the services provided for ASCA’s members, and activates the role of ASCA in local community and other Arab community services
On his part, Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh praised the level of professionalism reached by ASCA and highlighted the efforts of the general assembly’s members and ASCA staff.
The meeting tackled various topics including the formation of sub-committees of the general assembly to follow up the Society’s activities, the services provided for ASCA’s members, and activates the role of ASCA in local community and other Arab community services.
Currently, ASCA is preparing to hold a conference and a workshop in the first half of 2011 in cooperation with the International Accounting Standards Board. Moreover, ASCA intends to prepare for a free-of- charge training course for its members, interested parties and students of the International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium Sized Entities.
